That day we went to the Loira valley. The journey lasted around 1.5 hour.
Our first stop was in front of winery – Ackerman. We underwent an excursion in caves where the wine is made. I think it was pretty interesting to see the whole process. At the close of the excursion there was a game room where we could play some old games. And then I bought some small presents for my parents 😁.
Then we went by bus further to the city and stopped next to the castle – Château de Saumur. We had a guided tour. I think the castle is pretty. It has very long history.
Our last stop in Saumur was by the river. We got on a boat and sailed on the Loira river. There was a guide that told us interesting things. And we tasted traditional cherry sirup and a biscuit. I liked it.
After we came back to the quay, we had a little free time and then went back to Le Mans. After the dinner we didn’t have another programme and we could take well-deserved rest.
