Today we traveled to « Normandin beaches », which have a big history in connection with D-day (and World War II). There are many museums and memorials to the fallen during the war. It is an amazing place with beautiful nature but a cruel past. When I think about war I’m full of pain experienced by soldiers and their families. This place evoked in me many of these thoughts.
