This morning, we went to the High School. The czech’s students presented the city, the school, Czech Republic and some others presentation.
We learned that Hustopeče is the center of « Hustopecsko » region. In this town, there are some festivals in March and November mainly about wine and one about almonds. It has a neo-renaissance town hall since 1906, and also a fountain since 1595.
In our opinion, the city is quite grey, small. The architecture is basic. The main place is convivial because it is not big. People don’t have the same way of life as us, most of them are not smiling.
Then, the high school was established in 1919. The first president was Tomas Garrige Masaryk. Tonight, we are partying the century anniversary. Today, there are approximately 300 students who are confirmed in scientific subjects. They take part in a couple Erasmus projects and Edison.
We can notice that the Czech students speak a really good English.
They prepare a big party at the end of the year. After the exams, they have two weeks to prepare, with their teachers, the costumes and the chores.
We watched a video of one of the parties and we think it’s a good way to chill and enjoy after the exams. We also think that their parties look like America.
